As the fire season starts our state has been underneath critical threat. Our Hills District fire fighters have been asked to assist in areas underneath threat in Tenterfield and Glenn Innes.

More than 20 members of the Hills District RFS have been recognised for their dedication and achievements at a particular ceremony held on the Dural Country Club.
Commissioner of the RFS Rob Rogers joined the Hills District Manager Superintendent Glen McCartney to present three National Emergency Medals, 1 Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal, thirteen National Medals and 5 Long Service Medals to the members on the ceremony.
The National Emergency Medal is awarded to persons who rendered sustained or important service during nationally vital emergencies in Australia, together with the 2019-2020 bush fires.
The commissioner stated “Members of The Hills District have all the time answered the decision, not solely assisting with incidents locally but additionally to communities in need throughout the state.”
